Going beyond scaffold crews and thinking of ourselves as “safe workers.”
I began working on scaffold jobs in my teens and worked on a wide range of job sites. That really led me to appreciate the importance of this kind of work. Without scaffolds, architectural projects around the world could not safely be completed. Quite the contrary, they wouldn’t even get off the ground -- literally. I want more people everywhere to appreciate this fact. And above all, I want the people I work with to feel this same sense of pride. That’s why we feel we have to continue revamping our image. We want to be a company that people everywhere want to join. That was what led to the creation of Yagumi.
Our first goal is creating a corporate culture where all personnel can engage in work safely provided they are given a standardized degree of education and training, rather than relying on only a select few with advanced decision-making skills or abilities. The largest benefit of creating a company is having an organization in which like-minded peers can work together to achieve teamwork. We want our company to be one which offers peace of mind to employees and clients alike. Furthermore, we want our staff to be treated as more than just “scaffold crews” and fully-fledged safe workers who are instrumental in ensuring the safety of construction projects. We want to raise the status of scaffold work to hold a more important place in society.
Making happiness and peace of mind the de facto standard for all employees.
Yagumi has actively pursued reforms to the workplace culture and benefits offered in order to invite new talent to the industry. Saturdays and Sundays are off, and work ends on-time at the end of the business day. By having dedicated managers on-site to handle production materials, cleanup after work is dramatically reduced. Employees also receive full insurance benefits, and we host employee trips, events, and many other opportunities for our staff to mingle.
Yet there are many more things we wish to do to bring happiness and peace of mind to our team. In addition to internal initiatives, we continue to pursue the latest technology and methods to refine our approach. We consider it important to always evolve. Staying relevant in times of change requires adapting. We will continue evolving and working together as safe workers such that clients in the construction industry choose us first. Thank you for your interest and support.
